Cinnabon Stix Recalled

In a news release on April 29, Cinnabon announced the recall of Cinnabon Stix due to the possibility of peanut contamination. People with peanut allergies that consume these products risk suffering allergic reactions. Reactions to peanuts have been known to be serious, even life-threatening.

The recalled Cinnabon Stix may have been distributed to retailers across the United States. Consumers are encouraged to discard the recalled product if there is concern that a peanut allergy sufferer may come in contact with it.

Sliced Creme Cakes Recalled

Old Home Kitchens issued a voluntary recall of specific sliced creme cakes due to the possible presence of undeclared peanuts. Products affected by this recall may be identified as follows:

• Old Home Kitchens 14oz. Sliced Lemon Crème Cake, production code 16104 UPC 7121405521
• Old Home Kitchens 14oz. Sliced Vanilla Crème Cake, production code 16104 UPC 7121405520
• Old Home Kitchens 14oz. Sliced Strawberry Swirl Crème Cake, production code 16098 UPC 7121405522

Products bearing the above codes may be returned to place of purchase for replacement or refund. The recalled cakes may have been distributed to retailers in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, and West Virginia.

No illnesses have been reported in connection with these recalled bakery products.

CVS Recalls Tea

CVS Pharmacy voluntarily recalled Gold Emblem Abound™ Organic Spiced Herbal Tea due to possible Salmonella contamination. The recalled tea bears the label “Gold Emblem Abound Organic Spiced Herbal Tea 1.41 oz;” best by date of March 18, 2018; and UPC code 0 50428 541043. CVS Pharmacies nationwide may have distributed the affected teas.

It is estimated that about 200 packages of herbal tea were sold before the voluntary recall was issued. To prevent further dispersal of the recalled product, CVS removed the tea from its shelves and added a “do not sell” block in their store register system. Consumers may return the herbal tea for a full refund.

Chick-fil-A Cookies Recalled

Due to the possible presence of peanuts, a voluntary recall was issued on Chick-fil-A Chocolate Chunk Cookies.

Anyone who has purchased the recalled cookies may return the product for a full refund.
