Contaminated Foods Recalled

Chewy Bars Recalled

Schulze and Burch Biscuit Co. voluntarily recalled two varieties of Millville Protein Chewy Bars products due to possible Listeria monocytogenes contamination. Listeria can cause serious illness (sometimes even death) in young children, the elderly, and other people with weakened immune systems. A Listeria infection can also cause pregnant women to experience miscarriages or stillbirths. Symptoms of this infection include high fever, severe headache, stiffness, nausea, abdominal pain, and diarrhea.

Millville Protein Chewy Bars were distributed nationwide to Aldi’s grocery stores. Certain lots of Millville Protein Chewy Bars (Peanut, Dark Chocolate & Almond) and Millville Protein Chewy Bars (Peanut Butter, Dark Chocolate) were affected by this voluntary recall. <a href=”http://www.fda.gov/Safety/Recalls/ucm499751.htm&#8221; title=”Chewy Bars Recalled” target=”_blank”Check the UPC and Best By codes via the FDA.

Consumers may return the recalled products to store of purchase for full refunds.

Trader Joe’s Organic Corn Recalled

A voluntary recall was issued by ConAgra Foods for Watts Brothers Farms Organic Mixed Vegetables, Organic Super Sweet Corn (Yellow/Gold), and Organic Peas. Trader Joe’s Organic Super Sweet Corn was also recalled. These products may have been contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes. This voluntary recall of the Watts Brothers and Trader Joe’s products is due to the recent CRF Frozen Foods recall.

The Watts Brothers Farms organic vegetables were distributed through Costco. Trader Joe’s sold the Organic Super Sweet Corn.

The recalled products may be identified by UPC codes, Best Before Dates, and package codes through the FDA. Consumers who have purchase these recalled frozen vegetables are advised to discard or return them to place of purchase.

Noodles Recall

Pulmuone Foods USA voluntarily recalled three noodle products due to undeclared milk content. A person with a milk allergy or intolerance risks a severe allergic reaction by consuming these recalled products. No illnesses have been reported to date in connection with consumption of these products.

Three noodle products are affected by this voluntary recall:

  • Pulmuone Korean Noodles in a Savory Black Bean Sauce (46.6oz)
  • Pulmuone Noodles with Fire-roasted Black Bean Sauce (23.3oz)
  • Pulmuone Noodles with Beijing Style Black Bean Sauce (23.3oz)

Specific Best By Dates are affected by this voluntary recall. Use the chart below to determine if your noodles are among the recalled products.
