4-H Chef Club is for middle school youth who want to explore the exciting world of food preparation. The club will meet from 4:30 to 6:00 p.m. at the Extension office on September 23, September 30, October 7, and October 14. Dues of $25.00 will cover all necessary supplies. Registration is required. Santa’s Workshop is Back!

4-H Reality Store at North Oldham High School
4-H Reality Store is a real-life simulation that provides youth the opportunity to make lifestyle and budgeting choices. Faced with supporting their families with income from their career choices, participants will visit the following booths which represent monthly expenses: SOS, Uncle Sam, Bank, Housing, Auto Insurance, Communications, Child Care, Grocery, Medical Insurance, Transportation, Utilities, Clothing, Health and Beauty, Entertainment, Supplemental Income, and Crystal Ball (unexpected expenses). The goal is to make a purchase at each booth while meeting the family’s needs.

Shooting Sports Coaches Certification
Individuals interested in becoming 4-H Shooting Sports coaches should plan on attending the 4-H certification workshop on October 4 through 6 at the Kentucky Leadership Center in Jabez, Kentucky. Designed to familiarize coaches with National Shooting Sports materials, covered topics include the role of shooting sports in 4-H, productive club meetings, teaching resources, how to teach safety, and state competition information.
