Leaders of the Pack Dog Club Competes at State Dog Show

The Kentucky 4-H State Dog Show was held August 10 at the Kentucky State Fairgrounds. Congratulations to the following club members who participated:

Rebekah Degnan
Special Award for Obedience High in Trail
Special Award for Agility High in Trail Award
1st in Obedience Novice A
1st in Tunnelers Agility
2nd in Agility Off-Lead

Chloe Hardesty
2nd in Obedience Sub Novice A

Carrie Olds
3rd in Obedience Graduate Beginner

Ella Olds
Best Handler Award in the Showmanship Master Division
1st in Obedience Graduate Beginner
3rd in Rally Obedience

Oldham County also won the Michelle Reilly Dedication Award for having the most members participating in the State Dog Show.

Ballardsville High Riders Soar at State Horse Events

The Kentucky 4-H Horse Contest was held in Lexington June 6 and 7. Congratulations to the following 4-H members for their accomplishments:

The Junior Horse Hippology Team (Savvanah Claggett, Caecilia and Freya Isenhart, and Carrie Olds) placed first in Junior Written and Team, winning first place in Team Overall and fourth in Team Stations. A special congratulations to Carrie for placing first in Hippology Junior Individual Overall and second in both Hippology Individual and Written Contests.

The Junior Horse Bowl Team (Savannah Claggett; Caecilia, Freya, and Lucia Isenhart; and Carrie Olds) placed third in Junior Team. Carrie also placed first in Horse Bowl Junior Individual. The Senior Horse Bowl Team (Emily Altsman, Liz Ashcraft, Sydney Cobb and Ella Olds) took fourth place.

The Junior Horse Judging Team (Savvanah Claggett, Caecilia and Freya Isenhart, and Carrie Olds) placed first in Performance Junior Team and Overall Junior Team. Caecilia won first place in Junior Individual. Carrie Olds placed second in Junior Individual, Performance Individual, and Overall Junior Individual. Freya took third in Performance Individual and Overall Junior Individual.

In the Art Division, Savannah Claggett won fourth, Caecilia Isenhart fifth, Ella Olds sixth, and Carrie Olds eighth. In the Photography Division, Carrie Olds received second place and Caecilia Isenhart placed fifth and seventh in Black and White Photography.

The Kentucky 4-H Horse Show was held at the State Fairgrounds from June 29 through July 6. Congrats to the following Oldham County 4-H’ers for their accomplishments at the Kentucky 4-H State Horse Show:
