Homemaker Dates to Remember
An Oldham County Homemaker Council Meeting is scheduled for Thursday, March 19, at 1:00 p.m. Each homemakers club is allowed two voting delegates. All homemakers, however, are welcome to attend.
Oldham County Homemakers will hold an Indoor Yard Sale on Saturday, March 21, from 9:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. Items available include crafting supplies, housewares, books, toys, and more. Funds raised from this event will benefit community projects. Past homemaker fundraisers have supported 4-H camp, college scholarships, Ovarian Cancer Research, and other community service projects.
The Oldham County Homemakers Annual Meeting is scheduled for Saturday, May 16, at the Oldham County Extension office. More details will be available after the March 19 council meeting.
The Louisville Area Homemakers Annual Meeting will be Thursday, June 25, at the Shelby County Extension office, located at 1117 Frankfort Road in Shelbyville. Keep watch for more details.

Depression is common in adults over the age of 65. At 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 26, Bullitt County Family & Consumer Science Agent Ruth Chowning presents Depression in Older Adults. This lesson discusses the symptoms and effects of depression as well as local resources for additional information and treatment.
Join us for Positive Attitudes at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 30, taught by Allison Lewis, Spencer County FCS Agent. The way you take care of yourself through the years both physically and mentally impacts the way you age. Having a positive attitude when faced with the problems of aging can do wonders for the individual.
