NASS – Survey Updates
The National Ag Statistics Service is relying on producers to respond to current and upcoming agriculture surveys. Producers who have been sampled for surveys will receive mailings with a code to get access to online surveys. Your responses are confidential and will give everyone involved in agriculture a better idea of how the pandemic has affected agriculture. Surveys can be completed online.
Farm Service Agency Program Update
Farm Service Agency is currently administering a program called WHIP+. Crop producers who had losses from potential qualifying events may be eligible for compensation for those losses, provided all other requirements are met. This includes grains, forages, vegetables, and any crop grown in our area. Eligible events include and are not limited to: excessive moisture, flooding, freezing, and other events. Please contact the FSA office at 502-845-2820 for details.
Oldham County Cost-Share Announcements
CAIP Applicants must have an Ag Water Quality Plan completed and filed with their local Conservation District in order to apply for cost-share beginning in 2020. Visit www.uky.edu/bae/awqp to get information on creating an Ag Water Quality Plan.
