Wet conditions this winter affected hay feeding areas. Even well-designed feeding pads could have significant damage where animals enter and leave, creating perfect growing conditions for summer annual weeds. While these areas may look rough now, you can improve them.

Cereal Rye in Oldham County

University of Kentucky Extension is working with Kentucky producers to evaluate cereal rye production. Oldham County is hosting three of these field trials which will help UK Extension agronomists and growers evaluate varieties, seeding rates, fertilizer needed, and any pest control needed.
